Biting

I know that I mentioned this before, but if any of you have any advice at all on what to do when babies bite while nursing I would really appreciate it! This is not something that I was looking forward to for a good reason. I am just lucky that Jamin's teeth are still small. Please help!!!

Jamin Dancing

Jamin and Kevin are always very entertaining. We missed the funniest part of the dance because Kevin didn't think that I would need my camera. Ash was able to get this little bit on her cell phone. It was so cute! Jamin usually just bobs his head when he is dancing. It was fun to have Kevin "help him out" a little bit. My boys are just so stinking cute!

Jamin Growing!

On the night of the 23rd Jamin was miserable! He is now getting his second bottom tooth in! By morning he was doing much better. I was impressed by how well he did with our busy schedule. He is getting so good at walking around furniture. He crawls all over in his unique way. He can crawl like a "normal" child, but he just choses not to. He is signing a little bit and says "Mama, Dada and hi". I love all of his new and exciting stages!

Happy 24th!

We celebrated pioneer day on the 24th. We went with my family to see the new Batman movie. We had a yummy BBQ at Jami's (the grilled veggies and pineapple were my favorite!) We then went to the Samoan festival in SLC. Here you see me shouting out in excitement as the polynesian dancers were entertaining us. We had so much fun (thanks Trina for inviting us!). My dad loves the polynesian culture, so it was a lot of fun for him also.
This is actually a face of pure joy and excitement- don't be fooled by the tilted eyebrows. Kevin has a unique way of expressing himself!
There are just no words to explain Kevin in this picture. Any thought you might have on it is probably right!

Lagoon

We had our annual Lagoon day. The kids always have so much fun! Last year I had my rattle snake rapids accident when the boats were all pushed together and I was pushed out (I was 6 months pregnant!) It was a little scary to be riding again, but I did it. We had such a wonderful day! Thanks mom and dad for all of the fun and memories!
This ghost-like picture was actually us on the Terror Ride at Lagoon! I know it is blurry, but it was so funny! The little blob between Kevin and I was our little Jamin. He went on his first ride and he loved it! It is a little creepy to have someone in the background. I just hope that it is an employee! Taylor was a bit scared, but he saw how brave Jamin was and they somehow made it through together :) The pic is so blurry because Ash took it with her cell phone while we were moving. It was fun though! Jamin also really enjoyed the train and all of the animals.

Where is Jamin?

The other day I left Jamin to play in his room for a minute while I went and grabbed something. When I returned a minute later (literally) I couldn't find him. I panicked for a second until I heard him. He decided that playing under his bed would be a fun adventure. I thought it was so cute that I had to take a pic.

9 months old

Jamin turned 9 months on the 16th! I don't really know why 9 months seems like a big day to me. Maybe it is because he has been out of my belly for about as long as he was in it. I think that having him out has definatly gone by much quicker then when I was pregnant. We sure love having him here! On the 17th we noticed that Jamin was getting his first tooth. One thing that I have observed about Jamin is that he is a thinker. While other kids his age are busy with the playing with toys, Jamin is busy observing them. He can crawl and stand on his own pretty well, but he just chooses not to. He would rather just sit and observe some new thing that we give him. Isn't it interesting how unique we all are??

Poor Dogs!

My sister Holly is having me watch her dogs while she is out of town. This is how they sad the whole first day here. Do you think they miss Holly or what? This pic isn't that great because I was so far away when I took it. If I would get to close they would look at me and whine. Aren't dogs sweet- you always know how much they love you! I miss you too Holls!

My cousin's wedding

My cousin Melissa just got married. She had a beautiful reception- I loved the waterfall, so we decided put the camera on the bench and set it on a timer. It didn't turn out that great, but you still get the idea.

Sleeping with Dad while teething

Because Jamin has had so many little problems he has often been fussy. I wondered if Jamin had an ear infection because he has been even more fussy. He might have an ear infection, but we found out that he is getting his first tooth! I am not excited about it as much because I am still nursing. If any of you have any good advice on how to teach babies not to bite while nursing I will forever be indebted to you (I am afraid of the whole biting thing!).

Just for Fun

I have seen this on so many blogs today. It was fun remembering some great times with many of you, so I thought that I would also post it on my blog. I love you guys!
Here's how you play:1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember.2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory of you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Family Picture

We got these cheep pictures at the mall on a promotional sell. Jamin was pretty sick, but you would never guess it by looking at his handsome smile. The photographer only took about 3 pictures, but they turned out pretty well!

Rubber Ducky

Jamin gets all giggly, he kicks his arms and legs and laughs when we get ready to put him in the tub. He loves his baths! I am so glad that Jamin is a water baby like his mommy!

Expressions

I initially took this pic of Jamin with Willie's hat on, but I can't get over all of the expressions on the faces. I just find myself laughing everytime I look at this pic :)

Swimmers

This was all of us swimming. We have Kiley, Holly, Jamin, Michelle, Brooklyn, Heather, Taylor, Kevin and Keegan. What a party!

Smiling Boy

I still can't get over how much I love Jamin's little smile and laugh. Isn't he cute??

Swimmers

We had so much fun at Heather's house after our 4th of July breakfast. I have to thank Heather for the BBQ and all of the fun. I have to tell you about some of the pics. I am starting with the top left pic and going clockwise. Jamin would giggle and giggle as Brooklyn and Kevin would throw the ball at him. In the next pic I caught Taylor just as he was sneezing- doesn't that face make you laugh?? Kiley didn't get her sunscreen rubbed in well so she was a bit pasty. The last pic was of Keegan's little outfit that mom gave him- he looked rediculous in it, but he make us all laugh.

Crusing

There was this old truck at the breakfast. I am not sure if it still works, but I am sure at one time this thing used to drive around pretty well. It was so cute to see how much fun the boys had just turning the wheel and honking the horn. I have decided that kids don't need lots of expensive toys- anything can be fun as long as you allow the imagination to run wild. (I think this is good adivice for adults also. Many people don't take time to sit and listen to what they are thinking because there is always noise around in the form of music, TV, etc... I recommend taking some time to just take off your shoes, walk in the grass and just be YOU!) Now that you recieved my 2 cents for the day, I am going to go out and take my own advice- wish me luck!

Birthday Boys

I am so happy that I took this picture. This is a picture of Jamin and Krew. These boys were born on the same day and in the same hospital, just 2 hours apart. Jamin was born first, but he acually looks like he is quite a bit younger then Krew. I am going to try to attempt to explain how these boys are related. My Grandpa Jenkins married my Nana. Nana's son is Steve Minor. Krew is Steve's youngest son- does that make sense? We were actually able to see each other in the hospital because when we called Nana to tell her that Jamin had arrived she told us about Krew- isn't that crazy??

Riding his first horse

I am actually very amazed that this photo turned out. I am glad that Jamin happened to be the one on the horse with his dad because just after I took this picture they started shooting off fireworks. The noise scared the horse and it started jumping and bucking all over. Kevin was able to grab Jamin and get him out of the way. I am just glad that everyone was safe! I know that things happen for a purpose. The Lord was watching out for many of us at that time!

At the Breakfast

This is our little family at the 4th of July breakfast party. This is one of my favorite traditons! It is even more fun now that I have Jamin to show off and to play the games with. Even though Jamin isn't able to do much everything is more fun with him around!

The Tatto!

At the breakfast I allowed Laura Ashley to take Jamin around to some of the games- this is how he was returned to me! She gave my baby a tatto! It was actually pretty cute to show off the tatto on the baby fat instead of the big muscles. Fat is just as good as muscles anyway! (Atleast on Jamin it is- it is a whole different story when I am the one sporting the "baby fat").

Nana and Gramps

My Grandpa Jenkins has hosted the annual July 4th breakfast since I was a little girl. His ward actually puts on the party, but we always join them. We have lots of yummy food, games (with prizes), a parade, swimming, etc... I enjoy seeing all of the family. This is a picture of Jamin with Nana and Grandpa Jenkins (Grandpa is my mom's dad).

Sweet Sleeper

Jamin is a little angel when he is sleepeing. I love his chubby cheeks! I took this picture because Jamin was sleeping with his binki clutched in his hand. He was sleeping with it in a way that other kids would sleep with their teddy bears. You can't see the binki that well, but I think it was so cute!

Crib Time

Crib Time

Jamin loves his new ability to stand up all alone in his crib. The funny thing is that it doesn't last that long. I think that Jamin's legs get tired and he gets himself stuck. When mommy refuses to help him this is what happens....
Jamin falls down. It is not like he collapses or anything close to it- he just falls backward with his legs straight and all. He is my little daredevil. It is a good thing that he isn't that tall yet because I don't think that I would get the smile that always comes after the fear-for-my-life look.
This is the smile after Jamin realizes that everything is ok. Soon he will be repeating the process all over again. Kids are so fun!

Jamin's room

I know that Jamin's room is a mess in this picture, but many of you have been asking what it looks like so here it is. I had my dad install the wood for my red wall- thanks dad! I painted it red and just added the details. It is not much but it is perfect for Jamin's room. His room has such high ceilings that I needed the deep red to make the room look more cozy. The bedding has African animals with the Noah's Ark theme.

Bath Time

Jamin loves to play without his clothes on (I am trying to be tactful) after he get's out of the bath. He will play and play, but when it comes time for putting on the clothes he is not a happy baby. I love how much Jamin knows what he likes and dislikes at such a young age- and he is not afraid of letting us know what he wants. He has such a sparkling personality!

Yummy!

Jamin has bowel issues so we have to feed him plums for medicinal purposes, but don't tell Jamin that- he loves his plumes! I love this picture because it shows off Jamin's sparkly blue eyes and glistening hair (yes, he does have hair!) I just love this handsome little boy!

Great-Grandpa Gilbert

This is a picture of Jamin and his Great-Grandpa Gilbert. Jamin was 8 months old when this picutre was taken. I love Grandpa's suspenders! I think that Grandpa Gilbert is such a cute Grandpa. Thanks for the laughs Gramps!
